Cowboy Tales on the Eaton Trail
By Don W. DeJarnett. Softcover; 2017; 246pp.
Howard Eaton began taking people into Yellowstone National Park in the late 1880s. He and his brothers established the world's first "Dude Ranch" in Medora, ND, and later moved it to Wolf, WY, near Sheridan. Howard began taking 15-20 day trips through the Park with as many as 100 people on horseback, plus all the food, tents, and other requirements for "...taking a leisurely riding tour through the Park, roughing it in comfort."
